Gary A. Vick, Jr. joined Connick Law, LLC as Senior Counsel in January 2016 after 16 years establishing his career in the courtroom litigating a wide variety of criminal and civil cases ranging from aggravated murder, sex crimes, drug offenses, white collar crime and other felonies and misdemeanors to multi-million dollar civil cases.
A graduate of Saint Ignatius High School and lifelong Ohioan, Gary graduated from the College of Wooster with a B.A. in philosophy. He earned his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of law and was admitted to the Ohio State Bar in 1999.
Licensed to practice in all Ohio state and federal courts, Gary’s versatility stems from his experience as a prosecutor and civil defense counsel. From civil law representing insurance companies and police officers to trying dozens of cases with a high success rate with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, Gary has obtained favorable outcomes for his clients. His institutional and legal knowledge provides a unique benefit to his clients facing serious crimes, where their freedom is at stake, and those with significant sums of money at risk in civil litigation.
Gary’s work since leaving the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s office from 2006 to 2015 has included the successful defense of many criminal matters and trials. Gary has obtained numerous not-guilty verdicts in jury trials for clients facing the most serious crimes, including rape, kidnapping, felonious assault, and other sex crimes. He has fought for the rights of clients and their families as they navigate the very difficult times when an individual is charged with a crime. Gary was also instrumental in achieving victories on behalf of clients in multi-million dollar civil litigation suits.
Gary is a veteran attorney who understands the many different needs of his clients. Connick Law, LLC benefits from Gary’s breadth of experience as he will be heading up new practice areas of the firm in expanding its practice areas to include criminal defense, employment law, family law, and professional license defense. Gary’s experience will also provide invaluable support to Connick Law, LLC’s class action, mass tort, personal injury, and business/commercial law litigation practice areas.
A proud husband and father, Gary coaches his kids’ football, baseball, and basketball teams, and will soon be on the Strongsville Football League’s Board of Directors.
